Thea Marti is a global filmmaker, whose extensive backgrounds have prepared her to take on the challenge of running her own audiovisual start up PhD Films, included into 100 best creative projects of Lazio Region in 2018. She speaks 7 languages, has two master degrees and more than 15 years of experience in the media industry.

An international filmography of Thea Marti counts more than 30 independent projects, including short films, videoart and music videos.
Her feature film project The Northern Rhapsody got financing for script development from the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation after being previously selected for Pitch Dating at Court Métrange Short Film Festival in France. Her short film Balloons was awarded for the best screenplay at Cine Palium Festival in Italy.
Thea Marti was invited as a member of the international jury at the 45th Filmets Film Festival in Badalona, Spain and the 11th and 12th BCN Sports Film Festival in Barcelona, Spain.
Thea Marti won Chevening Scholarship Award to pursue MA in Screenwriting at London Film School in West End.
The director is currently working on her debut psychological horror Dreamweavers, set in a world of mental imagery.
Dreamweavers is supported by the Baltic Centre of Writers and Translators on Gotland, The Bergman Estate on Fårö, Sweden, the Vice-Versa Foundation in India and Torino Film Lab in Italy.
